  • The 02 prime areas for jaguar  safaris in South America: Taiamã Reserve and Porto Jofre.

  • The outings for wildlife viewing are done in speed boats on the rivers and on safari trucks during the overland part of the tour.

DAYS 6,7,8.

MEETING-OF-THE-WATERS STATE PARK 
JAGUAR PHOTO SAFARIS

The next 3 days are spent anchored on the entrance of the Meeting-of-the-Waters State Park, one of the largest protected areas in the Pantanal (270,000 acres), which has the highest density of jaguars in South America, having Jaguar Safaris in radio-equipped speed boats.

DAY 9

PORTO JOFRE | CUIABA

After Breakfast, transfer back to Cuiabá (airport/hotel), arriving around 2:00PM. End of tour.

DAY 1.

CUIABÁ | CÁCERES | PARAGUAY RIVER
AGUAPÉ CRUISER BOAT

After a 141 miles (228km) transfer from Cuiabá to Cáceres, the cruise starts downstream the Paraguay river, with an outing using speed boats in the afternoon exploring the labirinth of channels along the major river, giving chance to impressive views of the Pantanal.

DAYS 2.

PARAGUAY RIVER
JAGUAR PHOTO SAFARIS

Start the day with the first Jaguar boat Safari, which also produce close encounter with giant otters, caimans, capybaras, monkeys , to mention only a few. 
After 2 days of safari in this area, we departure early in the evening to the Taiamã Reserve.

DAY 3.

TAIAMÃ RESERVE
JAGUAR PHOTO SAFARI

A morning of boat safari, searching for all kinds of wildlife along the channel of the Taiamã Reserve, prime area for jaguars. In the afternoon, the cruise continue heading to the Amolar mountain range.

DAY 4.

EXPLORING
AMOLAR MOUNTAIN RANGE 

Morning arrival at the Amolar mountain range, with trekking in the forest looking for the 05 species  of monkeys found there (01 endemic), besides other wildlife as endemic birds and even the chance to swim in  crystal-clear natural swimming pool. After dinner, another walk in search for the elusive Night Monkey.

DAY 5.

PANTANAL NATIONAL PARK
CUIABÁ RIVER | PORTO JOFRE
Start the day navigating along the Pantanal National Park and having lunch near the meeting of the Paraguay and Cuiabá rivers, the major rivers of the Pantanal. In the afternoon, boat  safari on the Cuiabá river and its tributaries (Negrinho and Negrão), finally arriving in Porto Jofre.

THE BOAT
