PUMAS OF PATAGONIA

OVERVIEW

  • Pantanal Jaguar Safaris now offers a new spectacular wildlife experience led by professional p we take you to the wilderness in the Chilean Patagonia to photograph the second biggest cat of the Americas, the Puma, in daylight!
     

  • Breathtaking scenery of Torres del Paine National Park.
     

  • We will enjoy watching this top predator hunting and relaxing during daytime in the valleys of this huge park. Having two guides scouting the terrain, connected with radios, helps to localise these cats.
     

  • Although our focus is photographing Pumas, we will have opportunities to photograph groups of Guanacos, the Andes Condor, foxes, swans, grebes and many more.
     

  • Optional extension to Terra del Fuego to photograph the King Penguins.

Day 1.
Arrival airport Punta Arenas and drive to Torres del Paine.

Your guide will pick you up at the airport in Punta Arenas in the morning and transfer to your lodge (3-hour drive).  Stop for lunch in the scenic town of Puerto Natales. We will stop to photograph scenery and wildlife on our way. Dinner and overnight.

 

Days 2,3,4,5
In search for Pumas in Torres del Paine National PArk

We have 4 full days devoted to tracking pumas in the National Park. Our daily schedule goes like this: an early start before sunrise until lunch time, after a short lunch break we continue until sunset.  (B,L,D)

​Day 6.

Torres del Paine NP

Today we will have the full day to explore the natural beauty and dazzling landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park.

 

​Day 7.

Torres del Paine  to Punta Arenas airport.

Breakfat and Transfer to Punta Arenas.

​
