DAYS 7,8,9.

MEETING-OF-THE-WATERS STATE PARK 
JAGUAR PHOTO SAFARIS

The next 3 days are spent anchored on the entrance of the Meeting-of-the-Waters State Park, one of the largest protected areas in the Pantanal (270,000 acres), which has the highest density of jaguars in South America, having Jaguar Safaris in radio-equipped speed boats.

DAY 10.

PORTO JOFRE | TRANSPANTANEIRA
POUSO ALEGRE LODGE

70 miles (112km) transfer down the Transpantaneira Park Road with stops for wildlife viewing and lunch. Arrival at Pouso Alegre Lodge, one of the best places of Northern Pantanal for birds and mammals. After dinner, Night Safari in open truck through wetlands and forests. 

DAYS 11,12

EXPLORING POUSO ALEGRE
BACK TO CUIABÁ

Forest walks and overland Safaris, in different forest islands, giving chance to many encounters with wildlife, with stops for breakfast, lunch and rest. After dinner, Night Safari. On the last day, an early walk, breakfast, Truck Safari. After lunch, transfer back to Cuiabá (airport/hotel), arriving around 5:00PM. End of tour.

REMOTE AND AUTHENTIC STAY IN THE WILDERNESS

DAY 1.

CUIABÁ | CÁCERES | PARAGUAY RIVER
AGUAPÉ CRUISER BOAT

After a 141 miles (228km) transfer from Cuiabá to Cáceres, the cruise starts downstream the Paraguay river, with an outing using speed boats in the afternoon exploring the labirinth of channels along the major river, giving chance to impressive views of the Pantanal.

DAYS 2,3.

PARAGUAY RIVER
JAGUAR PHOTO SAFARIS

Start the day with the first Jaguar boat Safari, which also produce close encounter with giant otters, caimans, capybaras, monkeys , to mention only a few. 
After 2 days of safari in this area, we departure early in the evening to the Taiamã Reserve. 

DAY 4.

TAIAMÃ RESERVE
JAGUAR PHOTO SAFARI

A morning of boat safari, searching for all kinds of wildlife along the channel of the Taiamã Reserve, prime area for jaguars. In the afternoon, the cruise continue heading to the Amolar mountain range.

DAY 5.

EXPLORING
AMOLAR MOUNTAIN RANGE 

Morning arrival at the Amolar mountain range, with trekking in the forest looking for the 05 species  of monkeys found there (01 endemic), besides other wildlife as endemic birds and even the chance to swim in  crystal-clear natural swimming pool. After dinner, another walk in search for the elusive Night Monkey.

DAY 6.

PANTANAL NATIONAL PARK
CUIABÁ RIVER | PORTO JOFRE

Start the day navigating along the Pantanal National Park and having lunch near the meeting of the Paraguay and Cuiabá rivers, the major rivers of the Pantanal. In the afternoon, boat  safari on the Cuiabá river and its tributaries (Negrinho and Negrão), finally arriving in Porto Jofre. 

OVERVIEW

  • This tour encompasses the two major rivers of the Pantanal, 03 Natural Reserves, the Amolar mountain range and Transpantaneira Park Road;
     

  • The 02 prime areas for jaguar  safaris in South America: Taiamã Reserve and Porto Jofre.

  • The outings for wildlife viewing are done in speed boats on the rivers and on safari trucks during the overland part of the tour.

THE BOAT

  • The Aguapé Cruiser Boat is intended for 36 passengers in trips with overnight, plus 20 persons crew.
     

  • Constructed/equipped in accordance with the safety standards, one of the safest and most stable boats of the region, built on three floating tubes, with yearly inspection and reforms.
     

  • 13 suites for passengers + 04 suites for crew + 04 beds in the command cabin.
