Day 1
Campo Grande airport to Bonito, Southern Mato Grosso

Arrival at Campo Grande Airport in the morning, where you will meet your guide and depart for Bonito. After an approximately four-hour drive, we arrive at the Buraco das Araras (Macaws Sinkhole), a striking natural amphitheater. After lunch, we enjoy excellent opportunities to observe and photograph red-and-green macaws as they gather around their nesting sites.

Dinner and overnight at Pousada Olho d’Água. (B, L, D)

Day 2

Bonito - Aguapé, Southern Pantanal ranch

After breakfast, we snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of the Rio Prata, drifting among hundreds of freshwater fish. After lunch and check-out, we continue by van to Aguapé Lodge, a family-owned working ranch in the Pantanal dedicated to ecotourism and wildlife conservation.

The area offers excellent opportunities to see blue-and-yellow and red-and-green macaws, giant anteaters, and southern tamanduas. The deep roar of howler monkeys often echoes across the landscape, and time spent with the lodge owners reveals their deep respect for nature as a way of life. With more dry land than the northern Pantanal, this region provides the best chances to observe both species of anteaters.

Overnight at Aguapé Lodge. (B, L, D)

Day 3
Traditional Pantanal ranch Fazenda Aguapé

Full day of wildlife spotting in this private reserve. Activities include birdwatching, jeep safaris, night safaris, forest walks, and boat safaris.

After an early morning activity and breakfast, we continue with a full morning of overland safaris and forest walks. After lunch and check-out, we begin our transfer to Campo Grande.
