• This Tour takes you to the Meeting of the Waters State Park in Porto Jofre in search for Jaguars, Giant River Otters and other wildlife by speed boat.

  • In addition we stay in Aguapé Pantanal Lodge (Mato Grosso do Sul) where we have good chances of close encounters with highlights including Ocelots, Tapirs, Hyacinth Macaws, Jabiru Storks, Anteaters, Giant Otters & Pumas to mention but a few.

Day 1, 1st of June
Campo Grande airport to Bonito, Southern Mato Grosso

Arrival at Campo Grande airport in the morning, where you will meet your guide and transfer to the Bonito. After driving for about 4 hours, we arrive at the Macaws Sink hole. Lunch. Besides scenery we have the best chances of watching and photographing the Red-and-Green Macaws around their nests.

Dinner and overnight Pousada Olha d´agua. (B,L,D). 

Day 2, 2nd of June

Full day Bonito - Snorkling in the Rio da Prata & Rio Sucuri.

Full morning of snorkling in the Rio da Prata; crystal clear river springs together with hundreds of neotropical fresh water fish, stingrays and other creatures. . Lunch. In the afternoon we go snorkling in the Sucuri river.

Dinner and overnight Pousada Olha d´agua (B,L,D).

Day 3, 3rd  of June

Gruta Lagoa Azul & Boca da Onça

Today we visit the Blue lake & cave. Gruta do Lago Azul Natural Monument is a natural monument. It holds two caves with interesting but fragile calcareous formations, and has been listed as a protected area. Lunch. This afternoon we head to Boca da Onça consists of a nature walk through the Cerrado (Brazilia Savanna) vegetation, passing many gorgeous waterfalls. We will visit the Buraco do Macaco waterfall, this amazing 156 m waterfall offers great scenery and is just an unforgettable experience.

Day 4, 4th of June

Bonito - Aguapé, Southern Pantanal ranch

After breakfast, check out and we go overland by VAN transfer to our lodge  Aguapé, a family owned and operated working Pantanal ranch, focused on eco-tourism and wildlife. We have chances of seeing blue-and-yellow and red-and-green macaws and feel the force of the howler monkeys roar and share theowner’s passion for nature as the essence of life. The South Pantanal has much more dry land than does the North Pantanal. Here, we have the best chances of seeing both species of Anteaters. Overnight Aguapé lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 5, 5th of June
Traditional Pantanal ranch Fazenda Aguapé

Full day of wildlife spotting at this private reserve. Our activities are a combination of bird wacthing, jeep safaris, night safaris, forest walks, boat safari. Astronomy: hundreds of kilometers away from any bigger city, you will find an amazing detailed sky. See the milkyway in a brightness you haven't seen before.  (B,L,D)

Day 6, 6th of June
Aguapé lodge, departure to Campo Grande.

After early morning activity, breakfast, and another full morning of overland safaris & forest walks. Lunch and check-out.  Transfer to Campo Grande. We drive for about 3,5 hours (with stops for wildlife viewing) and arrive at the airport in Campo Grande.  Flight to Cuiabá at 19:50. Dinner & overnight Slaviero Slim Cuiabá. (B,L,D).

Day 7, 7th of June

Slaviero Slim to Araras lodge, Northern Pantanal ranch

We start the day at 7am with a breakfast and leave at 8am to the Northern Pantanal. We drive for one and a half hour we arrive in Poconé. From where our wildlife adventure starts as we hit the Transpantaneira road, a dirt road that transects the Northern Pantanal. We stop to photograph all kind of wildlife. We arrive at our lodge around 1pm. Checkin and Lunch at Pouso Alegre. This afternoon we go out for an overland walk and safari.Our target is the Lowland Tapir and many more. 

At night we go on a night safari in search for night animals like Ocelot, Puma, Giant Anteaters, Tamandua, Crab-eating Raccoon, Potoos and Owls. Dinner and Overnight.  (B,L,D)

Day 8, 8th of June

Araras lodge.

Full day of wildlife spotting at this beautiful private reserve. Our activities are a combination of overland safaris, canopy towers, horse back riding, forest walks and night safaris. (B,L,D).

Day 8, 9th of June

Araras lodge to Porto Jofre, Jaguar land.

Another full morning of wildlife spotting at this huge ranch.Our activities are a combination of overland safaris and forest walks. Lunch and checkout. This afternoon we drive further south, to Porto Jofre.  Stops for wildlife photogrpahy. We arrive here in the early evening. We will photograph the Giant Water lelies on the private lake, and other wildlife on the grounds of the Hotel.  Checkin and dinner at Hotel Pantanal Norte. (B,L,D).

Day 9,10;  10th & 11th  of June

In search for Jaguars and other wildlife in the Meeting ofthe Waters State Park. We will have two full days devoted to the boat safari on Cuiabá River and its tributaries, in order to maximize our chances  of watching and photographing Jaguars, Giant River Otters and other wildlife in the Meeting of the Waters State Park. Our outings are always during the day, from sunrise to lunch time and after our midday break we go out again until sunet. Dinner and Overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 11, 12th  of June

Porto Jofre to Piuval lodge, Northern Pantanal ranch.

Early breakfast and another full morning of boat safari on the Cuiabá river and its tributaries. Lunch and checkout. This morning we drive back north on the Transpantaneira road. We will stop to photograph all kind fo wildlife on our way and check-in at our lodge Piuval in the late afternoon. (B,L,D).

Day 12, 13th of June

Piuval lodge to Cuiabá airport.
Early wildlife search at sunrise, looking for the first signs of morning activity of the animals, and then breakfast. This morning we will explore one of many opportunities along the trails and farm roads, with plenty of wildlife as coatis, caimans, storks, herons an other marsh birds. Lunch and checkout. 
Transfer to Cuiabá where we will arrive in the early evening. (B,L,D)
