REGION MAP

ITINERARY

Day 1.
Cuiabá airport to Porto Jofre

Arrival at Cuiabá Airport in the morning, where you will be welcomed by your guide before beginning the scenic transfer to the Pantanal. After approximately one and a half hours, we reach the small town of Poconé — the gateway to the Northern Pantanal.

From here, we travel along the iconic Transpantaneira dirt road, a wildlife-rich corridor that transects the wetlands. We will make a few  stops along the way to photograph the abundant fauna often concentrated around roadside water pools, marshes, and forest edges. Capybaras, caimans, storks, jabirus, and a wide variety of birdlife are commonly seen.

We arrive at our lodge just before lunch. After a short rest during the hottest part of the day, we head out for our first boat safari in search of Jaguars and other wildlife in and around the Meeting of the Waters State Park — one of the most productive areas for jaguar sightings in the Pantanal.

Days 2,3,4,5
In search for Jaguars and other predadors on the Cuiabá river.

We will dedicate four full days to boat safaris along the Cuiabá River and its tributaries, focusing on maximizing prime wildlife viewing and photographic opportunities. The river system in this region offers excellent visibility and consistent jaguar activity, particularly during the dry season. Each day, we will navigate the winding river channels during daylight hours, carefully scanning the banks and sandbars in search of jaguars and other iconic species. With patience and expert guidance, we often enjoy extended sightings and excellent photographic moments.

Days 6
Porto Jofre and transfer back to Cuiabá airport.

Full morning to photograph Jaguars, Giant River otters and even Anacondas along the river banks of this mighty cuiabá river. After lunch check out and transfer back to Cuiabá airport.
