Octavio Campos Salles, a renowned professional wildlife photographer, has been guiding photo tours to Pantanal, Amazon and Atlantic Rainforest for over a decade, providing technical insights as well as striving to create unique photo opportunities for his clients. He’s constantly looking for new photo trip opportunities, and with this search he’s recently helped to develop an exciting new itinerary to dependably photograph wild Pumas in the Chilean Patagonia. He loves sharing his enthusiasm for nature and knowledge of various photography subjects, from field techniques to post-processing. He’s also passionate and keen about neotropical birds and works as a birdwatching guide as well.
His photos have been published widely, including National Geographic. In 2013 Octavio published his first photo book, on the remotest parts of the Atlantic Rainforest. He is currently working on a book about Jaguars. Octavio lives on the rainforest-covered island of Ilhabela off the SE coast of Brazil with his wife and kid. He speaks fluent English, Portuguese and good Spanish.
