Day 1.
Cuiabá airport a traditional Pantanal ranch.
Arrival at Cuiabá Airport in the morning, where you will be met by your guide and transferred to the Pantanal. After approximately one and a half hours, we reach the town of Poconé.
From here, our wildlife adventure begins as we travel along the Transpantaneira, the dirt road that crosses the Northern Pantanal. We will stop frequently to photograph wildlife often concentrated around the roadside water pools.
Arrival at the lodge just before lunch. After a short midday rest, we head out on a guided forest walk in search of terrestrial mammals and birdlife.
In the evening, we venture out on a night safari in search of nocturnal species such as Ocelot, Puma, Giant Anteater, Tamandua, Crab-eating Raccoon, Potoo and owls.

Day 2.
Pantanal ranch
Full day to explore the many wildlife opportunities at the private reserve. Our activities are a combination of overland safaris, night safaris,forest walks and canopy towers. We start before sunrise until 10am and from 330pm until dust. (B,L,D).
Day 3.
Pantanal ranch and transfer to Porto Jofre.
Early breakfast and check-out. This morning we continue deeper into the Pantanal, driving to the very end of the Transpantaneira road to reach Porto Jofre. Along the way, we will make stops to photograph wildlife frequently seen along the roadside.
Check-in at our lodge, located on the banks of the mighty Cuiabá River. Lunch and a short break.
In the afternoon, we head out on our first boat safari in search of Jaguars and other wildlife concentrated along the riverbanks.

Days 4,5*
Boat safaris for Jaguars and other wildlife in the State Park.
We will dedicate two full days and a half to boat safaris along the Cuiabá River and its tributaries, maximizing our chances of observing and photographing Jaguars, Giant River Otters, and a wealth of wildlife within the Meeting of the Waters State Park.
Our outings take place during the best daylight hours — from sunrise until 11:30 am, and again in the afternoon after a short lunch break, continuing until sunset.

Day 5.
Porto Jofre and back to Cuiabá airport
Breakfast and check-out. Transfer back to Cuiabá airport. (B,L)
* On the Pantanal Essential Safari 4N, you will spend two nights in the Jaguar area, including one full day and one half-day boat safari along the river, maximising your opportunities to observe and photograph Jaguars and other river wildlife.
